Schaffner’s new FN2200 Series of EMC/EMI DC Filters were designed specifically for PV inverters. Schaffner’s FN2200 Series DC Filter, the most compact dedicated DC filter for PV inverters in the global photovoltaic industry, helps control conducted emissions on the panel side of the PV inverter system, significantly reducing the potential for high-frequency (HF) interference radiation off the panel. FN2200 DC filters protect solar panels from HF stray and leakage currents that can lead to premature aging in PV modules and help the entire PV system meet international EMC regulations. They are designed for very low power loss and support overall PV system efficiency. FN2200 DC Filters are UL-approved (flammability rating of 94V-2 or better; UL 1283, CSA 22.2, No. 8 1986, IEC/EN 60939).
